Method
- In a small sauce pan on medium heat add oil, szechuan peppercorn, garlic, cinnamon stick, star of anise, and dried chilis.
- Cook ingredients for approximately 5 minutes, and remove from heat once garlic and chilis have browned. Remove garlic, cinnamon, anise, and whole chilis.
- In a separate jar add red chili flakes.
- Pour oil over the red chili flakes.
- Store in the fridge for ~4 weeks.
